  1. I look for both starting RBs at Rural Retreat to have huge season. Wyatte Pickett had 900 yards as a freshman and over 1000 as a sophomore. Should have a HUGE junior season. David Harrison, another junior this fall, didn't get as many carries as Pickett, but when called upon, he got the job done nicely. We should have a loaded backfield.
  2. seriously doubt it..I've talked to him personally and he isn't interested in a head coaching job.
  3. Who will have the best overall team speed this season? J.I. Burton and George Wythe are always fast.
  4. Did anybody else see the tight end for Maryland (don't remember his name) work out on the NFL Scouting Combine? WOW! what an athlete!
  5. Offensive tackle(all state)/defensive tackle Aaron Stevens, guard/middle linebacker(all region both spots)Eric Wilson, wide receiver(all state)/cornerback Jonathon Hawkins, All District center Justin Martin, and Luke Reasor at safety. I know that sounds like a lot, but we should have a good team again. Trust me.
  6. Yeah he's a helluva player. Returns this fall to.
  7. Matthew Heldreth at QB, Scott Whitehead at OT, and Daniel Cressell at DB will have good seasons this fall at RR
  8. Rural Retreat is planning on attending that.
  9. We were able to do that good last season..you either played pass, which opened up the dive-option with Pickett and Harrison, or you packed the box and got burnt time after time by Hawkins.
  10. I'm attending the Furman camp this summer..I've heard it's pretty good.
  11. The hook and lateral that J.I. Burton pulled on us in the state semi-final game was pretty wild. The guy that caught the pass and lateraled it, was crushed no more than half a second after he pitched the ball. It proved to be the difference maker in the game to.
  12. Who do you think will win the hogo next season? I think it'll come down to the RR vs. Lebanon game. Lebanon has most of it's skill positions coming back. They were very young last year and that experience will pay off this season. Zach Jessee and Skyler Musick will lead the way. RR loses Hawkins, Wilson, Stone, Martin, Stevens, and Reasor, but have some eager young players who got plenty of experience last season. Heldreth, Hudgins, Cressell, Pickett, and Harrison return on offense. With Blevins, Baggerly, and possibly Eric Reasor taking over on the offensive line. George Wythe will be down from their standards, but will be solid as always. They will be young in the backfield, but athletic.
