  1. QB runs keep the chains moving for Radford.
  2. Riverheads doesn’t appear to panic. They keep doing what they do. Riverheads ball on Radford 14. 3rd and 5. All runs so far.
  3. Old school blue…What number is Robbie Honaker’s son?
  4. Interception on the 2pt. try. I admittedly have not seen Radford except for part of the Glenvar game. I’m very impressed.
  5. Wow! What a throw and catch! 25-14 with conversion pending for the Bobcats.
  6. TD Radford. QB doing on the air and on the ground. Conversion no good. 19-14 Bobcats.
  7. CCC breaking tackles inside the 5.
  8. Penalty may be a drive killer. Nevermind, after a first down and a big gain from CCC.
  9. Radford doing a good job making the Gladiators drive. No real breakaways.
  10. TD Radford. Xp no good. 13-7 Bobcats.
  11. Long pass to Knipe. Radford ball at Riverheads 10. 7-7 end of 1st.
  12. Radford holds on 4th down at the 15.
  13. How big is CCC? Sometimes when at the wing, he looks sort of hidden. When at HB and more upright, he looks pretty big.
  14. Radford answers several quick passes. QB Clark is legit. 7-7 at 7:51 1st.
  15. 7-0 Riverheads. Radford fumbles kickoff. Several runs later , CCC TD.
  16. Bravo! Congratulations to Coach Beale!
  17. I would look to someone to first, and foremost, instill values of discipline, hard work, and teamwork. Next, I am looking for a strategic decision maker. Those coaches/candidates are certainly out there and may have applied. It’s going to take a good staff working together.
  18. I don’t know about that. No one ever explained the staff turnover and results of the second tenure. I’m not inferring anything, but reputation is important and more so than wins. Hypothetically, what am I teaching my children about life lessons if I knowingly choose to select a leader who (like it or not) brought a level of disgrace? If possible, based upon the information available, I am choosing the person that does things the right way AND the results translate into wins.
  19. I agree somewhat. The line likely improved. However, I also believe the health of Clements makes the O line look better. The line doesn’t have to hold blocks as long, and the rewards of opening the holes (no matter how small/brief) pays greater dividends.
  20. I agree wholeheartedly with your points. I hope those people (staff included) are out there and selected. As far as Graham is concerned, I know most of Palmer and staff have been entrenched in the greater Bluefield area. I don’t really know enough about Tazewell, other than it was a rotating door prior to Harris. Without knowing myself, and without any specific names, those points would lead me to a “Richlands guy”, either by residence, family, or graduate. Usually, as in Graham’s case, that lends itself better to that dedication. It will also take patience.
  21. I have no idea. It has been a disturbing trend of what seems to be a rotating door for years. It is possible, but not probable, to Coach multiple sports (Chilhowie), but since sports are year-round it is difficult to do it for long (Chilhowie, again). The practice that I questioned is a suspected cause of the turnover in the first place. The football coaching instability has been a fairly recent phenomenon. The same practices could be argued that brought us to where we are now concerning many assistants.
  22. I don’t know anything about this, but aren’t these jobs “one year contracts”? I believe I have heard this reasoning used to fire coaches in the past. I guess the door can swing both ways if that is the case.
