i agree dont know much about the area but went to a game over there around 98-or 99. when they faced gate city and they has Shoemaker. Gate city was warming up when i got there and apperared to have around 80 players on the field. app. came through the bleachers with around 18. app was stopped on the 2 yard line as time ran out down by 2 points....and the sad thing was they called a t.o. before the kickoff ever took place in the 2nd half. was very much impressed

groves has ran the ball with much more heart thelas few weeks. just think he could had 2 more t.d.s against holston but just wouldnt run hard. i still think the gonzalez kid is the best runner on the team but looks to me the coaches dont like him. and with p.h. being a small school you have alot of kids out of postion. i think #66. Thompson could easily play fullback. has anyone heard what colleges is after him???? heck of a defensive palyer

i think the game with chilhowie will be closer than the game with wytheville...not saying wytheville is better than chilhowie. just seems to me that chilhowie seems to start the games a little slow. holston is quick, george wythe is even quicker with a passing game. chilhowie will be tested the next two weeks. but i honestly think they win this week causing another final week show down with the boys from wytheville... but chilhowie needs to think....go 10-0 and go to playoffs as district champs or lose to wytheville and be 9-1 and them 5-5 or 6-4 and go and yourself being 9-1 and sitting at home not in play offs because it can happen. Holston is in playoffs....hell in d1thaey was automatic when they won there 4th game

well to shut everybody up i like to see holston beat chilhowie(not going to happen) and chilhowie beat wyheville(probably not going to happen) and we get one BIG OL' TIE!!!!

Showed up with about 6 minutes to go in the 1st period. ph. just went up 6-0. with about 6:00 to go in the 2nd ph looked to score again inside the 20 but poor play calling and peniltes gave Chilhowie the ball. 2 plays the warriors score teing it a 6. ph played pretty well trailling 12-6....... then came some real stup calls by the coaches. own there own 5 they pass twice stopping the clock inside a minute(I think 35sec.) punt from the back of the endzone to a very good punt returner. Chilhowie scores with 1 sec left. Now you got an 18-6 ballgame. I think you go in down 12-6 and getting the ball to start the 2nd half motivates the kids...ph seems to have a few real quailty athletes but just not enough of them......so to all parernts in the tri cities(Glade, Meadowview, and Emory) get ylour sons but out to play football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i hope the kid is okay. hear from a friend from damascus and seen in person for myself that his motor is always running on defense. as far as holstn....once agian ill say 7-3. but hey good enough for a playoff bid

i agree with you almost 100% i have seen alot of these teams play. I will have to say Radford is not on your list and they are probably the best ive seen out of this group. there is a goo possibilty that if chilhowie does love to wytheville(which may not happen this year) they could still be in the playoffs...Right?? i know they sit home last year at 8-2 but 9-1 may be enought this year....thats the crazy thing about football. chilhowie could sit at home at 9-1 and holston had a playoff sopt locked up when they won there 4th game

you keep bringing up the wet field the night they played ph. ph played on the same field that night. and if it hurt either team most likley ph because they like throwing. im glad holston is having a good year and i do hope they win friday but im telling you i see g.dub play friday and i think they are very solid. big strog backs one heck of a receiver and the qd does a nice job at getting him the ball. just think level of comp. thus far gives g. wythe the edege. maroons by 2 tds

my openion is you are 7-0 so you have a quality team especially for div.1. do i think you have a chace at the district crown yes but a slim one. i havnt seen chilhowie paly but here they are a eal tough team, on the other hand issen g.wythe and beleive me im not a big wyhteville fan but the look very strong to me. i know they have lost 4 games but any of thos teams they lost to probably could win the hogoheegee...i think it will be a hard foght game friday but i truley say g.wythe by 2 touchdowns
