  1. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Exactly GMan... [ QUOTE ] dont understand this...Bluefield is undefeated and you are still bitching about Will Cole getting the starting spot???? i know you are friends with McClanahan and all but Will is playing well so far and you are undefeated...why complain about Will starting??? he is playing very good football as of right now....why complain??? [/ QUOTE ] Were you at the game beano5? Did you see all the crappy passes he threw. and you think were 3-0 all because of will cole. Give credit to: 1. God 2. O-line 3. Our bend but not break defense 4. Our speed 5. Shawn Brooks, ansel ponder, chase joyner Will has done nothing good to help us win games that Eric, Jake Lilly or Levi Beckett couldnt have done. Which is basically hand the ball off [/ QUOTE ] o-line? they are def a weak link right now... especially at center but i expect them to improve. ill give credit to our defense... speed does help, in addition to turf. How does ansel get the ball? Brooks has more fumbles than cole has INTs... Joyner dropped a couple of passes. So you see, everyone makes mistakes, they are high school kids. Its expected. Cole makes mistakes too. But he deserves credit for when he plays well too, and he is playing well. leave him alone and accept the fact that he is the qb and playing well enough to lead his team to 3 victories. [/ QUOTE ] false they are tied with 1 a piece plus u can not tell me a more impactive player for the beavers on both sides then brooks
  2. [ QUOTE ] mclanahan wouldnt have made that throw. for one he wouldnt have went 7 for 9 in that drive which included a drop on a really good pass. and for 2 will cole threw that ball 40 yards (line of scrimmage 26, 5 yard drop+9 yards deep in endzone where ball was caught.) on a line. he didnt put that much air under it. Mclanahan doesnt have the arm to do that. He would have to put air under it which would allow the defenders to get to the ball, and ansel would have to pull off a miraculous catch. and that would be hard considering the athletes WC has. And lets not forget the one string of bad passes cole had when the fans were yelling to take him out, on third and sixteen he rolled out and threw a ball on a rope for a first down on the sideline. And what about the opening drive when he go the team inside the ten, by hitting a couple of passes. he completed 60% percent of his passes in this game and his Td to INT is 3 to 1. Good job Will. Hopefully people will start giving you the credit you deserve... [/ QUOTE ] to be honest the drop was a lil behind the reciever thus the reason for the drop
  3. [ QUOTE ] The ball didnt slip through his hands. the ball was released about 1 whole second before the WC defender even touched him I heard something funny tonight during the game, and old redneck guy was standing behind the bluefield sideline and said "Hey little freddy, I think you better put in that McClanahan because that Cole boy is sucking" lol, I thought it was funny [ QUOTE ] McClanahan would never had made that throw. [/ QUOTE ] lmao.... yea and jerry springer isint white... [/ QUOTE ] he wouldn't have everyone and there mother knows that e's arm aint that strong
  4. [ QUOTE ] Let's see...I'll predict Bluefield 14, William Campbell 7. (hindsight is 20-20 after all, huh? LOL) [/ QUOTE ]that is so crazy and u don't even live here dou beaverhokie great prediction
  5. Yeah i remember when Marrieotti and Patterson Wade and all those guys were seniors and he did that same 4 corners and ended up costing them the game against lincolin county
  6. [ QUOTE ] Graham and Princeton doesnt have anywhere near the speed of William Campbell and niether does Bluefield.WC has team speed at all positions, bluefield doesnt. [/ QUOTE ] bluefield's slowest person on d might be Mike miller someone told me that a coach told them that everyone runes a 5.0 40ty and under with the exception of miller
  7. [ QUOTE ] well high school football is one of those sports that nothing ever happens the way you expect it to.teams sometime dont play to their potential.its kinda like going to work, some days you just cant wait to get there and then you say damn why didnt i call in.lol cause nothings going right.any team anywhere can have an off night. [/ QUOTE ]thats funny..lol...but your are so right about it u never know
  8. mt. view is terrible but high is fast and graham don't have much speed at all but graham should beat them hopefully
  9. 41-7 buddy im sorry for something like that to happen brooks ponder and lilly and even patterson would all have to get hurt for the game for that to ever happen..if and i say if which is a very small if(trust me) William Campbell wins it will be by on touchdown no more
  10. ii disagree.. I think they can leave points on the field and there d can still stop william campbell's o what scares me is the play of the center he is not tp quick to get his block.. pay attention to him.. and that miller kid I don't know why they praised him in the papper if he goes up against a decnet lineman they will dominate him he tries to come off the ball standing straight up.
  11. could graham possibly be like bluefield in 1990? 0-10
  12. bluefield will win even though this will be the BEST team they play this year.. NOT RICHLANDS.... If Bluefield played anywhere but richlands it would probably not be to bad for them but since they have to travel down there its gonna be a dog fight but Campbell will be the best team they match blu's speed very very well
  13. [ QUOTE ] [/quite] Don't worry if Campbell takes command of the game, the ref's won't let it get too out of hand. [/ QUOTE ] Are you freakin' kidding me? I haven't seen many games that the Beavers have had a fair game called. There is something about us that makes the refs hate us. I have never blamed a loss on the refs or anything but dammit if they havent made some terrible calls against us. Even at the Beaver-v-Graham game....our home game....there were some terrible calls. You can say that it was the refs first game and all that BS but then it happened the second week too. WTF? I know this is a football post, but the worst called game of any sport I have ever seen. The 2006 WV AA State Basketball Championship game. I have never seen a game that was decided that bad by the refs. 32 foul shots to 1. I don't know if it was something about the other team being completely white and the refs being the same or if they just didnt like us. I just know that nearly 60% of games I have went to...which is all in the last 4 years....have been called heavily in favor of the opposing team. I don't want to hear this crap about out "home-cooked" referees. [/ QUOTE ] now im tellin tou here in the past couple years they cant even get decent refs @ home in my opinion the ones for the graham game this year r some of the best in years
  14. [ QUOTE ] I have a coaching job thanks for asking. Two words "Spelling Class" lol as todays generation would put it. What are you 12 or something. As I said before, wait (B4), the kids will not be picking the new coach, if they don't want to play that is their choice. They can then spend their time misspeeling words on chat forums, just kidding (jk). I hope that all the kids who are talented enough to play do so and wish the Beavers the best of luck no matter who coaches them. Just consider 24-3, with a state runners up finish a great season. Coach Gaither won two titles while their, the only ones in school history unless I am mistaken, and you guys don't seem to want him back, so unless Jesus applies for the job I guess yall are going to be disappointed. Maybe Bobby Knight is available, oh buts the kids probably wouldn't play for him either. [/ QUOTE ] so u must be one that put in for the job huh? ... and u might wanna talk to ansel bout that he told us regardless he might consentrate on working out for college football .. and a lil bird tells me that from the looks of things the princepal of BLuefield High will recommend Webster for the job
  15. [ QUOTE ] Would you rather own or rent? At times in the past 30 years attempts have been made by those who just dont KNOW. The political ins in the Bluefields starts with an S and ends with a T. Pikeview has a complex Princeton has a complex and MHS has a complex. Within the last 30 years only those allowed to are allowed to and graciously awarded. The bravest attempts to segregate from the city were met by newly elect {if need be} board members or long arms. [/ QUOTE ]but the point is we don't mind renting a nice stadium like mitchell where as if we got one build it would be no better then the mavs field
  16. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Just typical of the old-school Bluefield-Princeton politics. The Princeton political elite won't do a thing to help Bluefield, if they can help it, but if they can do it for Princeton? It's as good as done. [/ QUOTE ] And this is why Webster will not get the basketball HC job at Bluefield...Dale Lee is a Princeton man, he get the job and that will be the end of Bluefield basketball... [/ QUOTE ]just like taledega nights..." don't you put that evil on us g-man"
  17. no no title every year just when the talent is there
  18. But Webster is also works for the Mercer County school board as a professional plus he has head coaching expeirence coaching high school kids in summer league since the early 90's plus he has heavy support from big wigs in the city of Bluefield. does this not make iteven a possability that he may get it? Only askin cause I take you publicschoolfan as someone with great knowledge in this area.. or at least you come off as having knowledge in this area.
  19. nd how do u know webster is not gonna get it? r u on the school board r u a princepal @ bluefield?
  20. [ QUOTE ] Dumb a$$ isnt an animal in the bible. That is just an a$$. You want to call someone a dumb a$$ own up to it. Tony Webster is not going to get the job. There will be many kids play for the new coach whoever it is. But with fans like you out there no matter who gets the job and no matter what the team achieves im sure you will be there to second guess every move they make. Hey heres an idea, you get a coaching job and see what you get done. [/ QUOTE ] hahahaha welll if webster don't get watch the likes of ansel pnder shaun brooks and no tellin who else not play.. u watch i know this cause i got the inside scoop andwhy don't u get a coachin job ill be just fine... ask the kids in bluefield high school and u know that should also be cosedered wbster coaches the majority of the team for aau every summer since back in the early 90's but the kids will tell u they don't want gaither(to many bad stories from former players) they didn't want Gillard, they surly don't want havens, they want webster. go up there and ask
  21. I repeat Webster is the man if they want kids to play
  22. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Well "buddy" you showed your intelligence by the use of profanity. Not only do you not know basketball, you dont have much of a vocabulary either. Maybe Gilliard would have stayed if all the "FANS" didnt think win it all or fail. You do know only one team can wil it all each year, right. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think fans are expecting to win it all, every year. The point is what the coach does with the talent he has, and many fans felt that Gilliard did not do a good job of using the talent he had. The thing I see and hear is that he was making poor coaching decisions. A good coach is defined by using the players he has to their best abilities. If someone were to take a bunch of 5'9" slow guys to a 0.500 record, that would be a good coaching job, but to do the same with a group of 6'5" speedsters...not a good job. The success isn't just defined by the record, it's defined by whether the team under-achieved or over-achieved. And it appears Gilliard left to get his dream job, not due to what he could (or couldn't) do at Bluefield. [/ QUOTE ] exactly and i didn't use profanity those were dollar signs and if u wanna get technical that is an animal its even in the bible and buddy trust me i know basketball and bluefield should have more then two state basketball championships by now according to the talent they have had
  23. [ QUOTE ] Princeton's golf coach is a teacher in Mercer County. The only way that a person who is not a professional employee of the Mercer County School System can be considered for a coaching position is if no professional employee applies. They must also have taken the coaches education class. [/ QUOTE ]thats basicly what i said except taking the class part
  24. [ QUOTE ] The last time I checked, this thread was to discuss the Bluefield Princeton game tomorrow night. Who cares who transferred where and when? It happens everywhere and I'm sure everyone has had a transfer student be a significant contributor to their team at some point. End of story. [/ QUOTE ] bluefield over princeton 31-14
  25. they r but see the youngest one went to bluefield all his life and didnt wanna leave his freinds
