We were told they did not have a JV team and we were trying to move the time of the varsity game up some.

Is the game at East River? Also, does Graham have a JV team?

There was another African who was there but left before the soccer season started. Those kids played on the Blacksburg FC travel team.

Scrimmage on Friday night.... Blacksburg plays Radford on Monday.

Any report on how this scrimmage went? How did the Africans play for Giles?

Blacksburg has another scrimmage Monday at Radford. Should be a good test.

LB was missing 3 of their top players due to suspentions.They will be missing this weekend as well. Their keeper is one of the ones missing.

Blacksburg defeated Lord Botetourt 12-0 tonight.

I hope everyone made it through try-outs ok. We had a difficult time with over 70 kids coming out for JV and varsity. We are still waiting on some kids to finish up winter sports (basketball, track, wrestling). Final cuts for JV either today or Monday.

Freddie is playing at Lipscomb University. It is a Division I school in Nashville.

We have some experience ordering state championship rings. It is usually up to the booster club or school to raise the money. Our booster club buys the players/staff plaques and then it is up to the players to buy their own rings. I treasure my rings (I have rings from 6 of our championships, 1 playing 5 coaching). Congrats to Richlands on their state title. Way to bring the title to SWVA!!!!

UGA's out of conference schedule sucks as does WVU's this year.

It is picking up in SWVA. I was actually an assistant coach for Graham the first two years they had a team in 1995 and 1996. Southwest District Champs bot years (we were the only team in SWD). What is Graham going to be like this year? Our first two games of the year are against them. On our website we have our schedule posted.

Just wanted to come on here and say hello to everyone. We are playing Graham twice this year and thought I would come on here to check things out.
