Man you cant say anything about anyone on here unless its good I mean come guys these are only opinions and thats it. and this is mine except unlike most of you that cant see that the MJ and KOBE thing was just a example of players that give it there all and yes I can see were he's coming from with this , think about this you have great player in KOBE, AND MJ at a larger stage in the game but do you think they played the way smith does to get to the nba , and for the guy that says smith is the best at his postion in the state no its not his exact words but might as wel have been , hes not ! now maybe in a single A but come on !! when you get into a 2A,3A,4A school you come across some top notch basketball players D1 prospects wich josh is not he will play in some small school but not D1 . And for all the hatters listen to this basketball isnt meant to a battle of muscle , if you put 5 players on the floor that all look like line backers and dont have it up stairs you wont win to many games if any its a 80% thinking and 20% muscle and you guys that are young wont belive it now but some day you will I mean I didnt years ago but I see it now more than ever, and as far as josh giving it 100% he does know question about it but sometime he does alot of things that he shouldnt and wont get by with in the next stage of the game , I promise ! and as for heart there isnt a kid right now in the BDD that can compare to tyler cooper , oh ya here comes I dont know what Im talking about think about this how many of the players in thee BDD now or 20 years ago have ever played basketball in the BDD with a broken neck, this kid plays every game with pins in his body just he can do something he loves , dont get me wrong he has a bad adittude at times and I hope for his sake he will grow out of it. I watched him and josh smith go at it twice last year and it was a brawl ? why do refs let it go on it only takes from the game as they get older because they will not get by with all the cheap stuff after high school. and for every player you guys say is os good I can point out more than 3 things that can make him better if he learns to play ball the right way without all the fest brawls ,elbow throwing adittude, and at my age these kids would not stand a chance against a team of my age (40) thats right you learn how to play the game just before you learn you have to give it up and thats the truth , and as far as the other thing about TV getting away with what ever at home that is also true , Now you TV loyals what say its so but it is and has been for about 4-5 years . but maybe just maybe you have earn that right after all the state trips to richmond right ? WRONG !!! you havent done anything except make it to the final game one time (chocked) and back to the final 4 a few time if you want to talk that lets give the cobras a few games at home and on the road like that this year and they win the BDD even without TOE after all they have a title to be proud of and as many state trips as TV right? we can talk smack all day and night it wont change the way thee BDD goes this year, and it will be very close it could be down to the wire on about every game played this year in the BDD, but if you look at a team in whole you better look at HONAKER ! top to bottom they may have lost a good player in HALL but they have a good team with a bench so heres my picks HONAKER, HURLEY TV, THE COBRAS, AND THEN HAYSI. ONE AND TWO COULD FLIP FLOP. good luck to all teams hope for a healthy year but lets get past the footbal season first.

FLAT?!!!!!!!!!! man you said a mouth full there it wasnt just the ball team , I mean the fans were the same unless the boys made a play it was like a pin drop, but I will say this the coaches did a good job tryiing to get the boys mad at something either them or what ever in hopes that they would take it out on the other team. I personaly was very disapointed in the way they played I mean they beat a team by 36 but should have beat them by 56 . I know its not easy to bring it every down but come on guys this went on for 2 and a half quarters , What do we see in every good team that has won a title in any sport ? they bring it!!!!! every single down, either in a pass rush , a hard hit that knocks you out of your shoes , special teams, and this is one of the reason coach TESTER took the flags off of there helmets . Every team that hurley has had that did good had a defence to be feared , you did not want to ge hit by any of these guys because they didnt take a play off they loved to inflict as much pain as lawfully possible and then grind there teeth for more, and its not that hurley dont have the talent its the the talent dont have the want to , not heart because I seen them come from behind a week ago at saint paul and the have it but it cant be left up to just the coahes to bring it on FRIDAY nights these kids have a chance to do what hasnt been done here in alot of years, and shutt some doughters up but it's all in how bad they want it I mean it is there team and they are the ones that have to walk out in public with everyone looking saying is'nt that such and such that was on that team for hurley that almost won . Hurley is a place i love, its showed me what pride is and maybe these boys dont see it just yet but let me tell you this I know that some of hurley players get on here and thats all in good but if you want to hear what people are saying about you just ask or look around you wont find anyone other than those from hurley giving you respect thats why we REBELS have always had to wear our pride on our sleeves like a block of wood and dare anyone to try and take it from us that is what makes a REBEL , PRIDE,HEART,PASSION, AND LOYALTY! to the person next to them, showing that you dont have to do this alone because we are rebels. ®ESPECTED we expect(E)XCELENCE were allways (B)RAVE we allways (E)MBRACE challenges and we never (L)ANGUISH NO MATTER WHAT!!!!! i might be wrong on this one but I think the final was a 19 point game and yes TV did go up on hurley about 20+ points at one time but you have failed to mention that it was hurley who had there young new faces on the floor during a 13 to 0 run for TV and it wasnt that bad of a game for a new team with a new way of coaching but make no mistake this isnt the same hurley team of the last 2 years by seasons end I think you will see just that , better D and better team work. and for the most part about all these games for teams that havent had a scrimage were used for just that at coach horn new that in order for this team to improve before the end of season he must first know what line up works at the right times and that is what he did mixed it up to see were some of the new faces stood with the rest, but dont get me wrong TV is a better team right now than hurley not a 30,or 20 point better than hurley but maybe a 15 point. its all about team work and cutting down on there turnovers and if they can do that by the bdd turny then I think they can open some eyes for those who doubt, it will be a 2 year project but if all the girls that are playing now hang with it look out in a couple of years and thats what coach horn is banking on .

well now scammell rushed behind a good o-line when he palyed every year unlike tester and dont get me wrong scammell was a good back and we can sit here all day talking about who's the best and I watched both when they played and scammell in my oppinion scammell could'nt cary gregs jock strap if he had to play behind the line that greg did ,know hurleys line wasn't terible but it wasn't the line that scammell had at grundy those years , and as for the waters kids there right on him he did play at grundy his soph. year and he played his other soph. year at hurley he had to take all his 10th grade back over when he got to hurley, I dont know why its just something I heard. And there isnt a single person that gets on here that will change the minds of the fans in hurley about COACH TESTER in there eyes for the young fans he is the best that has ever put on a hurley uniform, and thats the way that alot from grundy think about coach scammell. but it would have been great to have had both those guys in the back field when they reached there high school prim.

Well when it comes to hurley's girls basketball !? what kind of crap is that? I will say this there have only been a few good girls team but Im tell you this within the next four years hurley will win the BDD or finish second and as you may or may not know coach HORN is back as the varsity coach and they have the allen girl back along with all the jv girls from last year, and these girls are as scrapy as you'll find anywhere in the BDD , but it will be a tough year for hurley. as for the jv they have all new faces but they also have about four girls that could be real good in a few years

Well this game had it all!! fumbels lost ,recoverd, ints. and good running by both teams. however! the fans did get there money worth on friday at the cliff unless you were a wolfpack fan they might demand a refund after watching there pack go down to the hurley rebels 20 to 14 but they should keep there heads up because they were in this to the end Hurley with its allready hurt backfield, lost some others early in this one that mad a big difference in this game but I will say this that my personal oppinion of this game is that HURLEY players came out a LITTLE cocky and wasn't expecting the wolfs to howl like they did But thats why they play the game but I will say this HURLEY didnt lay down even after the injuries there were a few that steped up big in this one including the coaching staf they called the right calls when they needed to on both sides of the ball and had Hurley not had so many turnovers and pent. late, this could have been a blow out .Now Hurley has got to get ready for some real big games in the district and if everyone could be healthy the BDD could realy be a wild one this year but its all in the hands off the Hurley rebel players and coaches and if hurley gets back all there starters I do believe that Hurley can compete for the BDD but thats a big if as of now.! good luck rebels Im proud of you and its been a treat to watch you so far this year keep it up!!! oh ya lets not forget this season was deadicated to # 44 it would have been great to see him play I know he would love to be three with you guys lets remember that as we get ready for the rest of the season if there were ever a player that not only could have been but would have been great it was tyler, so keep your heads high and your mind on what's at hand. go REBELS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If hurley can control the ball and keep pent. down they should win this one unless phelps has some amazing ball players I havent seen since last year there not that big, fast and dont have alot of depth but neither does hurley. it could be a great game to watch ,the only kid I saw last year for phelps that had any speed was there running back but got hurt on there first drive of the game so I didnt get to see much of him but from what I have been told by some of the guys that live around there, phelps isnt that good this year but I dont know for sure , I havent even seen there record but if the stories are true then it should be another win ,and I think the rebels have alot of anger built up right now after the way they got treated at BIGCREEK last week but who knows well just have to pay sit and watch ,untill then .go REBELS!!!!!!

big creek will be playing atleast 1 if not 2 more years this is coming from a coach I know from big creek and I hope that they play one more time so we can have our turn at home maybe we can show them how hurley got there rebel name ! everyone has said that if you do the same thing back then were know diff. sorry I dont agree with that Im saying this about the fans not the kids , the teams will have to handle there own but as for the no good fans over there that like an uproor come on over to the cliff and try it lets see how many bottles you throw at a player before the stands clear. go rebs!!!!!

you know alot has been said about the refs but nothing has been said about the owls coaches . you know if you see a kid take a cheap shot that is going to be a 15 yard pent. time and time again but isnt called and you still put that kid back in the game or never take him out ,why? why dont you take him out because maybe just maybe that was part of there game plane knowing that it would never be called untill things got so bad the cops had to called in I hold the coaching staff also responsable for these kids actions. I have alot of respect for coach TESTER as a player and as a coach he never gave up coahing not even in the last min. of the game that showed alot of heart by him and his team,and as far as the game would go HURLEY is as good as a team as BIG CREEK anyone who didnt see the game wont think that because of the score but anybody that knows football its not allways the score that will tell you how good or bad a team is dont get me wrong B.C. has some speed and talent on there team but anyone who was there from hurley would tell you that if that game had been played on even terms that it would have been alot better game, I talked to a guy I know very well from B.C and he told me that he thought that B.C realy stunk that he thought that was the worst they had played all year I laughed and said I couldnt smell there stink over the refs! but I would like to say this I have known guys for year that live in or around B.C. and they are good people that live there just like anywhere else you have some fans that are just, well not the kind you would like to have unless there is a fight lol !then you might want them. I just cant wait untill next year Im making a predcition now that Hurley will win that game by 2 T.D"s there not losing to many players and will have alot coming up from there JV program that I have seen and these young kids love to hit so untill then as for me all I have left to say we lost not but B.C didnt beat us on there own! they had alittle help from there friends.

Who do you guys think are some of the best coaches in the game in the BDD list them from jv boys, jv girls, to varsity boys, varsity girls. and are there any big changes this year as far as coaches? jv or varsity?

they could still make the playoffs with a 5-5 season with the way the system is now but who knows i think there a couple of players away from that also but could suprize some people also its all about numbers with hurley ,when they can keep everyone that has been a starter healthy then they can play ball against about any team in the bdd , untill injuries and the lack off numbrs come in to play yea I know thats part of the game but I would just like to see more kids come out to play to give hurley a better chance at wining and if you seen the news paper with all the teams in it hurley has one of the fewest number of kids playing but the kids they have right now want to win and will listen I just hope everyone that started the season finshes the season this year and can keep there cool and think of the team but all in all I think they could have 5-5 season or 6-4 who knows? good luck to the rebels !!!!
