Bringing in portable seating that is ADA approved costs money...a lot of money. Our county is suffering with severe budget cuts just like the rest of the school districts in this state. Maybe our administration thought it would save someone their job in the long run if they didn't spend that money on seating for a football game. We do not know all the factors that must be considered for these decisions. Stop speculating and deal with the fact that we are playing at Emory. The coach is thrilled with it and so are the players. Isn't that what this is all about...these young men? They got us to this point. Let them enjoy this experience. GO BIG RED!

Our boys do not want to play at PH or Abingdon...come on....they are excited about playing at Emory. Before dogging the decisions that were made, you should know all the facts that go into making those decisions. Plus our administration doesn't have the final say....VHSL does.

Holston had some good practices the past few weeks. The time has allowed the QB and several other key players to rest and recover and this will only help. East Mont beat a big-headed Radford team who started to come back but the bad weather caused for a very slow game. East Mont lost to Bland who the Cavaliers beat fairly easily and we could have ran the score up even further but they put in the JV. I look for Matlock and team to be hungry for a playoff victory.

It isn't our AD that puts us in this situation. Scheduling is a logistic nightmare for the AD and the coaches. Our AD puts in very long hours during the summer and on home game weeks preparing. It is just how the scheduling falls with the other schools and when they will play us. Historically, Holston has not been a school that other teams want/need to play.

Oliver Asher, Reid Barr, Danny Asher, Mike Wampler...Tuff is a good athlete but does not compare to some of these HHS former athletes that come through those halls. It will definitely be a game to watch and it WILL be within 3 touchdowns.
