Wait I'm confused was this game pretty much the state championship game or will that be next Saturday? Do they play again this season after that? I know how Richlands likes playing in those mythical state championship games.....
Wait... Doesn't the fine people of Tazewell County know that Richlands pretty much played for the state championship against Appomattox? I'm sure they will come up with the funds to help a team that finished state runner ups errr I mean 3rd or 4th... well whatever they finished.
In all seriousness I really hope both Grayson and Richlands can come up with the funds for new stands. I know how important it was for me to be able to see the bleachers filled with classmates and family when I played and would hate for those kids to miss that because of lack of funds.
In the spirit of this thread I'd like to take the time to Congratulate Richland's on being the 2nd best team in the state. YOU'RE #2 YOU'RE #2!!!! but wait..... Union beat Richland's earlier in the season and made it just as far soooo YOU'RE #3 YOU'RE #3 !?!?!? Well since 3 other teams made it further than Richland's in the playoffs other than Appomattox YOU'RE #6??? Ah hell let me just Congratulate Appomattox on winning the State Title yesterday and all the other teams that made it to the playoffs for a successful season and good luck next year just to be safe.
Also Congrats to Galax for Winning the 1A state title.
I'd like to Congratulate Appomattox on beating Richlands for the State Championship last week. It's a shame the VHSL is making them play these 2 exhibition games after that.
The only non-national places I can think of in the Vansant area would be either the Rainbow or Gino's. The Rainbow has been there for years but within the last couple years changed owners. They have your burger and steak foods but if you looking for a cold "beverage" before the game this is where you want to stop. Gino's is basically Italian Village but in my opinion better. Its located in a camper/trailer in the Vansant plaza but has no seating so you will have to eat in your car but well worth it. There's also a place called Dotson's that's about 5 minutes or less from Grundy that has pretty good home style foods and burgers.
Yep..... A person post their opinion and that's the response they get? I'm all for a little trash talking but that seemed to go a little over board. We all understand Richlands is a very good team but to read the post from last weeks Central game and this weeks game so far, one would think RIchlands was the odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl. Plus calling kids out by name was a nice touch.
