Richlands has been here so many times in the past, experience will play a major role for them. I think Marion has over achieved this year and I have been impressed with them they do have some speed but not nearly enough to handle The BLUEs I think Richlands Rolls in this one 42-14. Sorry Marion keep dreaming. :D

I agree with you this thread should die, however you still throw jabs in saying Hess would definetely start. I really don't think so. I have been around Richlands Football for several years now and have watched Hess play in several games for Abingdon . I will say he is a decent quarterback but he is not accustomed to playing in big time games at Abingdon. Jack Vance albeit not in the qb position has played in many big games and is a competitor. When he has been called on to play qb he has performed extremely well. The job is Jack's to lose w/o a doubt Hess could probably hold for extra points and field goals if he could beat out Reece Strong.

Greg Mance and his staff do an outstanding job at Richlands the kids want to play for him bottom line. Richlands doesn't have to recruit talent to win as evidenced by their showings over the last five years. The Matt Davis Austin Fuller justin McCracken, Caleb jennings kids were all Richlands Boys born and bred no recruitment there. I may be the only one who feels this way but I think even without the johnson kids richlands would've fielded a winning team. Mance and his staff prepare these kids as good as any staff in the state bar none. So until the rest of the district gets dedicated coaches who are willing to give it there all, get used to the TORNADO domination of the SWD and Region 1V div 3. The best example of this in my mind was Tazewell last year I thought they had the best talent in the district but Richlands came out on top not once but twice over the puppy dogs so until drastic changes are made get used to it folks !!!!!!:D:D

I guess all those other years that Richlands has blown everyone out they had transfers then as well. What is everyones excuse for those years. The last time I checked Matt Davis, Austin Fuller, Shane Wicks, Romolo Fajardo Caleb Jennings, Justin McCracken and the list could go on forever, all Richlands Boys Born and Bred. I think if the johnsons weren't there we would still be running for a 6 straight SWD title.
