Well I will tell you that this kid doesnt have a reputation for this! This kid does as alot of people have posted! He has a history of this! So I dont know what else to tell you all I know is what I have seen out of the Lebanon Player for the years he has played and I have never seen him even shove someone on the football field out of retaliation much less spit on someone! So we will just have to see what happens and if I can get the video today! If not I may ask the coach for a copy!

O and just so you know it wasnt just this kid that was punched the replacment that came in after salyers was hurt was having the same thing done. So the Coach told the ref and the ref started to watch. I do know that the game is going to be replayed here in Lebanon on the local cable channel tonight at 7 so if I can I am going to record it myself. And will see if I can post a clip!

Well lets just say this I know for a fact that this happened and it was not due to retaliation! COME ON!!! I was at the game I saw it with my own eyes! Ok I cant even begin to answer this! This kid doesnt even have any brothers he has sisters! So your good authority is WRONG! So maybe you are wrong about the whole thing!

Ok I know that I brought this up right when all of this came out about the head to head stuff in the NFL and I really didnt know that it timed out that way. But anyway.. the whole thing that bothered us was this kid had a broken bone in his neck from the previous season. This kid is tough and worked hard to come back and play. We all know how hard that is to overcome and work your way back. I have watched videos of these paticular players on both sides now I am not saying that the kid from Lebanon isnt cocky but I have never seen any type of punching, shoving or anything like that from him. He truly loves the game of football. Now I watched the video from Richlands Gate City game on Youtube and this kid really has the Rooster strut going on and is getting in peoples faces there too. And I read earlier iin this thread that this same kid got suspended in Basketball for the same type of thing. So my thing is if they know he has this problem why doesnt someone try and reign him in. He does seem to have really good talent so why waste it by acting like that when he doesnt need to. Now I dont know this kid personally like I do the one from Lebanon but I do know that I have watched this paticular group since they were in 3rd grade on up til now and never seen this out of him. Now there are some on the team that have aggressive issues like a bad TEMPER and I have seen it displayed like this kid but I do know they are being dealt with. So I know its physical and all but I just hate fot this to go on and no one fix it! Thats all I am saying!

Hey I had asked some people before but no one really knew where to find the information but I thought I would ask again, is there anywhere we can find individual standings for players as a whole not just offensively? The only information I can find is for Battle. Just kind of curious? Thanks for the ideas if you guys can help!

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Lebanon Player has been cleared to play this week and is doing pretty well. He is a very tuff kid and loves the game and will continue to play! Even after everything that he has had happen over the past 2 seasons! Good luck to all!

I did read your post entirely! And you know we do all have opinions and I am fine with that! So lets please just leave it at that! I hope we learn and just move on!

Well I have watched alot of football in my day! And yes you see tempers fly from time to time but never on a defensive play do you see a player in the NFL or College grab a player by the jersey and punch him! Now it may happen at the bottom of the pile up but I am sorry if you think I am wrong but I dont see any NFl players really doing that! Shoving and stuff i have seen as well. So if you want to condone a player for punching another teenager in the throat and causing damage then that is on you! I just stated my opinion. Football you are going to have injuries, like concussions, broken bones that kind of thing and even a close line or two but I just dont see what the purpose of doing the other is? Yes tempers fly but come on at what point to we get these boys to learn to control that are they going to go out and punch anyone that pisses them off in life? At sometime these kids are going to meet someone bigger and more pissed off than they are and it wont end so pretty! So you say what you want and I will believe what I want as well. I still love the game and love to watch thost boys on Friday nite whether they win or lose we are still proud of our Pioneers!! You know I agree that hitting is part of football but not punching do you ever see NFL or college players punching?? NO! That is not what I am talking about at all. The game is just that a game and tackling is part of the game!

Well the sad part is it was brought to someone at the schools attention I am not going to say who but got no response! I am not exagerating! I know for a fact it was made known to RHS personnel! Now granted they may not have had time to address it but it has been made known to them. The reason I put this on here I wanted to know if it had happened to anyone else. The other problem with this paticular incident is the kid that suffered the injury had an injury to the neck last year!

Ya know that isnt what I was trying to do at all and I was hesitant to say anything because I know Richlands is good and I am not trying to take away from that at all! SO I dont care what you or anyone else thinks! Punching and trying to put someone out of the game is not football! SO keep playing that way and see what happens cuz I guarantee when they go to the playoffs it wont fly and they may get it back to them! Good luck!

You know the boys and fans all knew going in that Richlands was going to hand us our tails! But if you play come to play! Its a game and no one on either side should play that way. Yes there were some words on the field but that is how it is.

I truly dont take offense to your comments at all and I do know that is it caught on film. The sad part is those 2 werent even part of the play when it happened not under any pile just salyers on db and the other player on offense. Now I do know enough about football to know that under that pile there are punches and stuff that happens but when you grab one by the jersey and punch to the adams apple that is no accident. I know all of this is part of the game but all will come out and it should.

Well he punched Salyers from lebanon in the adams apple he was playing defense back and he grabbed him by the jersey and hit him 2 times to the throat. After it happened I heard that he has done it before I dont know.I just know how dangerous that is. And hate it.

Ok so I got on a soap box in one of the other threads but want some information on whethere anyone else had seen it.. I am not trying to take away from Richlands talent at all but would like to know if anyone else has ever experienced this I was told that they had but just wondering. You know in my experience with football I know it is a contact sport but with the talent that Richlands has why do you feel the need to punch?? Especially to punch to hurt. We had a player Friday night that was punched in the Adam's Apple 2 times and couldnt breath and had to go to the ER by Ambulance. After the kid was taken out another player got a concussion and told the coaches that it was 1 player that was doing him the same way. Now like I said before Richlands has some Awesome talent there is no need to play dirty like that. Lebanon was definately not any type of threat at all so why do that?? I have watched football a long time and have never seen football like that at all. Lebanon and Honaker are huge rivals but they atleast play clean to each other. This player is going to hurt someone and it is only going to hurt him as he goes on to College if he chooses or when they go to the playoffs those teams are not going to take that either so that is only going to hurt the team. I was told that if it is brought up to others it would go on deaf ears because of the influence Richlands has. I hope that you know that I dont by any means take away from the talent they have at all they have an awesome team and they really deserve their success but not when this 1 player takes away from all of that.

Well I am going to get on a bit of a soap box and probably will get my head bitten off for it.. but o well.. I have been watching high school sports and a part of them for a long time. I have never been so surprised at a football game as I was on Friday Nite in Lebanon. Hey I know it is a contact sport but I can not believe how it was played. You know Lebanon knew we were going to lose we had no doubt about it but for some of the things that happened the crowd was shocked. You should only play football if you truly love the game not just so you can hit someone and when I say hit I mean PUNCH! I know you all will think I am over reacting but one of Lebanon's players was taken to the er from not 1 but 2 punches to the throat. Do you know how dangerous that is??? Luckly the kid is ok but is still very hoarse and swollen but hopefully no permanent damage. 1 player was punching those kids everytime he got close. He not only was punching in the throat on some of the others he was just punching. I am not taking away from Richlands as a great team but you are winning without doing that! Most of the players on Richlands team are awesome! But this kid should not be allowed to play! Sorry! Ok I will step off the box! Happy Football Sunday!

I would have to say the extra timeout in 20 seconds to go at Lebanon last week against VA high.. THey didnt have any left but got one anyway!

Just watch the last minute TIMEOUT!! Some how the refs gave them an extra one last week so I hope you take your own refs or else they will get an extra one. If you look at the game with them and lebanon you will see that all penalties were on Lebanon but 1.. so good luck Devils not like you need it but good luck!

Yea we have a gate at the visitor side as well. But for the most part you shouldnt have any problems getting through the visitor side with no issues. For the most part they are pretty tame and dont have problems!

I heard yesterday that RIchlands had gotten into a little bit of trouble for recruiting is that true? I am not being a smart a?? but just wondered!

AMEN!!! Nothing like watching kids you have watched since Peanut grow into young men and play their hearts out every friday nite! Nothing like watching those guys break free for that once in a life time run or once in a lifetime catch! They truly do play with their whole hearts and you can see it in their eyes whether they win or loose they still love the game!

They also have some pretty good receivers.

Yes he is an awesome athelete! The problem this past Friday was that the Coach didnt let him run the ball enough. He only really carried the ball the second half and still had over 100 yards rushing. He is an awesome athelte! Belcher does a great job when he is to the outside but if you are going up the middle you need Strength like Adams or Smith. Our wish for Friday Nite is everyone have fun and no injuries on either side! Fun is what it is supposed to be about but I think some have forgot that!
