I made my top 10 selections from coaches I had the pleasure of watching their teams play. I am sure Coach Ragdales would have been in my top 5 , if I had included all coaches from Roanoke to Lee county. I am sure from reading his record at Giles High School ( you provided ), he was much deserving of the honors bestowed on him......especially having the stadium named Ragsdale.
I heard Tazewell had only six lifting weights, whereas Richlands had around seventy. This should tell you that Coach Mance has an attractive football program, for a young man.
Ron and Dave @ WGTH had to sit outside @ the RHS and Abingdon game. One of their fans keep yelling into the radio broadcast, until the flood gates opened up in the 4th qtr.......she left.
This obsession you girls have with Richlands is getting a little creepy!!!
I heard Logan Thomas parents had purchased a house @ Cedar Bluff and he would suit up for Richlands on Friday night . Coach mance would drive him back to Hotel Roanoke, so he could make curfew and play for the Hokies on Saturday.
Richlands has a new QB coach and has installed a new offense. Coach Wells coached at Radford before coming to RHS. It will take a few games to get the players used to the new system.
Congratulations Lowell Lagrunsacie "Sonny" Hagy. A former ourstanding football and basketbal player, for Richlands 1960-63. All of the Blue Tornadoes will be pulling for you Sonny..
