First of all, the failure to pay a parking fine shouldn't fall on the coach's shoulders. These are grown men and they should be able to make that decision. With all of that aside, at least they weren't throwing beer bottles at vehicles and still allowed to play.

Butch Davis was hammered with things he had no control of as head coach. As much as we would like to believe, the coach doesn't have control over agents and boosters. All they can do is brief with their players and warn them. Also, I now doubt that Davis would be interested in UT after hearing they canceled funding for over six million dollars in academic scholarships. Davis' track record indicates one of the highest graduation rates among college players at around 75%. Thats pretty impressive coming from a winning coach. He built the powerhouse in Miami in the mid 90's and took UNC to two bowl games. You are probably right though. He wouldn't fit in at UT because he likes to win.

Other than Petrino, the best free coach out there right now in my opinion hasn't even been named. Butch Davis.

I'm not sure how the federal government would treat this but I do know one thing. College football would reach an all new level!!

What exactly do you remember different from last years game? Union either opened up with 20 or 21 unanswered and went into the half up by 2. Clintwood scored off of three consecutive INT's. I'm not sure but I think only 1 was ran back for a td. Union opened the second half up in a spread offense for reasons that I cant even explain. It was already proven that Clintwoods defense wasn't going to be stopped so why not keep the ball on the ground and out of their hands? The 4th quarter was all clintwood. That is an accurate but crude run down of that game.

How many interceptions did huff throw against clintwood last year? It wasn't a cheap shot. It was true. He was less than five away from setting the vhsl single season record. The score last year was either 20 or 21-0 in first quarter and huff heated up and threw int's on three straight Downs. If you don't believe me watch it. Its on YouTube.

I'm not sure what Gavin's stats were against union last year but I know they were up there.

Most of the time when you lose your QB to graduation it hurts, but in Union's case, it helped. They aren't averaging 4 interceptions a game this year. If Meade can be contained this game shouldn't even be close. Thats a big IF because I think hes the best RB in swva. I will be looking forward to seeing you all down there.

Very impressive win for the wave. Im glad we get an off week coming up before we play you guys. Hopefully the Bears can hold Meade to under 200 this go around. The best team in SWVA this year is at Dickenson County in my opinion. Hats off.

I didn't say it effected the outcome of the game. You did and will continue to struggle the rest of this year with ignorant penalties. Richlands has had enough talent to win state the last two years and hasn't. Im not kicking your players because they are indeed good. Very good. 150 penalty yards is unacceptable on any level. I'm starting to believe the rumors about out-of-town 'transfers'. I believe they went to Grundy and recruited from their wrestling team. : )

I don't expect you to admit it. Its your team. I'm finished commenting about this as I knowit will not change things. It was unions game to lose and they didn't connect I walked away knowing that union was the best team and that is fine with me. I had fun tonight and was able to watch a good game.
