FatBoy 10 Report Share Posted May 26, 2005 I know there have been a lot of great football coaches at RHS (incuding Ernie Hicks, Jim Hammond, & Bill Perry) but one of the best that never got the credit he deserved was Sanders Henderson. Coach Henderson was the geru of special teams long before Frank Beamer was bestowed with that title. He was the master of organization, and studied all kinds of film looking for any weakness he could find in opposing teams. His 'wreckers' loved him and his enthusiasm so much they called him 'Preparation H'! When 'S' would turn that hat around backwards, you had better hide the women and children because it was getting serious!

cityofRaven 2,453 Report Share Posted May 28, 2005 i heard that Evans, the coach that Tarter started under, was a real perfectionist, his player had to be looking and playing perfect at all times
BigBlue02 11 Report Share Posted May 28, 2005 I dont think anyone could play perfect all the time though because everyonce in awhile your going to screw up your assignments, reads and etc.
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted May 28, 2005 Evans had some good teams. They came out on the short end of some close games but they could play with anybody.

cityofRaven 2,453 Report Share Posted May 29, 2005 he was a good one, i think if the whole deal wouldnt have came up he could have won it in 93, and he would probley still be coaching, i bet its safe to say that he would have won 2 more titles if he had not been fired.
