Lance 228 Report Share Posted September 3, 2005 Yeah everyone had a great night...Theo looked good, Ashby looked good, Baker, the O-Line looked "ok"...Tigh was getting it done...everything clicked...the team has come a long way in a week...was great to see. I was most impressed with the Defense...with Bronson out injured I was seriously worried about who would be the person to step up...it was Josh Keller...he had a great game...everyone on defense did and excellent job...Coach Compton made some awesome adjustments and put some kids in position to make plays...looked a lot like the defense from last year that did so much. Hat's off to the defense for a great effort and finally swarming to the ball and for the most part wrapping up and putting the hit on someone. Garon was awesome...he started out kinda slow...well slow for his standard...then in the 3rd he lit it up...he finished with 226 yards on 18 carries with 4 td's and a 2 pt conversion...the game was 14 - 0 at the half and Grundy was still looking a little on the sluggish side...Marcum came alive just after the half and ripped off an 83 yarder, a 47 yard td, and a 10 yard td that you just had to see to believe...started out going right and ended up spinning out of a few tackles and going all the way across the field the other way for the score. He also had a 5th TD of 53 yards that was called back on a holding penalty. Not bad for a RB with a broken hand playing in a cast huh? It was just good to see him get the ball finally. Next week is a gut check against Richlands...I know they will be big underdogs...but if the defense can play at the level they played tonight it will be a good game. TroofusG 10 Report Share Posted September 6, 2005 They won because Of the players last week against shelby vally. They had guts, and deserve a big CONGRATS. Play calling is still iffy at best. They better get their stuff straight, and actually coach before next week. The players bailed them out last week, with turnovers, guts, and Marcum.
