Change Landstown 24*.

They beat Bayside 35-21 Thur. night.

Earlier in the day, they announced they had used an ineligible kid in 4 games - the first one was the season opener on 9/2 vs. Tallwood.

They've appealed to the VHSL, which will make a ruling Monday afternoon.

A similar thing happened to a playoff team in Roanoke a couple of years ago, and the VHSL basically said the school did nothing wrong, therefore, no forfeits.

Landstown won last night, 34-14...

And Salem hasn't won 24 straight, they've won 19 straight...

Just researched further and found you're right. Won the last 8 of 2004. Noted, too, that they lost last night to Smith.

Who lost last night? Salem beat PC to extend their winning streak to 19. Now there's another Salem High School in Virginia out of Virginia Beach, don't confuse the two.

I know that this not a Virginia or West Virginia team, but I am going to Charlotte North Carolina this friday to see Charlotte Independence play Davie County. Charlotte Independence has the nations longest winning streak at 89 straight wins. 5 straight NC 4AA (largest school) state championships.

Landstown had their forfeits overturned.

Lynchburg (I mean Liberty) Chr. won their league title and are finished for the year.

Salem-Va. Beach (AAA) lost 2 regular season games, so shouldn't have been on the list, anyway. AA Salem (or Salem-BR) won and is now at 19.

Salem's h.s. was known as Andrew Lewis when Va. Beach opened their Salem. When Salem build a new building in 1977, it was re-named Salem, and the designations were added.
