hitter 10 Report Share Posted November 10, 2005 a long tradition of great football in a particular area creates great enthusiasm and if it continues it creates great coaches and then spreads out from pee wees all the way to high school and sometimes beyond!some exanples would be the great mearl gainer who coached in wva and then moved to phenry in roanoke one of his assistants was willis white who later moved to coach at salem high school! along with numerous coaches that have helped out in the younger age groups current coaches that have played or coached under willis white are billy miles,head coach frankln county;brad bradley head coach william campbell; lee johnson head coach glenvar,john hinkle assistant coach glenvar; stephen maghenbauer head coach salem! those 4 programs have a current record of 32 -4!i also think that the deceased coach from graham was an assistant at ph under gainer,glyn carlock!
