zack 10 Report Share Posted August 19, 2006 salems defense looks impressive offense need work against the western valley district div. 5 hilltoppers. salem shuffled a lot of players in and out. glass scored late when salem had a couple of breakdowns in coverage with young players in there. glass was very big, with there usual 300 pounders and also very quick. salem, on offense sometimes ran split backs and sometimes ran from the i set. salems second quarterback, leftwich had a cannon, and was very decisive. hanabury, the starting qb is pretty fast and had a couple of runs. my guess salem will be extremely strong on defense with 7 starters back and will be looking for answers on offense, like last year.they played about 5 different running backs, so those jobs may still be open or they may alternate, the backs were jonathan clemo, brandon grigsby, john ribble, harrison hudson and aaron anderson. they also have several good receivers in evan fischer, brett demole, nick spradlin, and justin bailey. grigsby had a couple of catches out of the backfield.
