Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 Yay! Another Southern WV AA school tucking their tails and refusing to play the Beavers...
pistol4 10 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 Perhaps they are tired of losing by 50 + points, sometimes 60, etc...

Bluefield_Rules 46 Author Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 [ QUOTE ] Perhaps they are tired of losing by 50 + points, sometimes 60, etc... [/ QUOTE ] I guess Beaver needs to spot certain teams points prior to the game in order to secure a 10-game schedule...
pistol4 10 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 Or, Chief Frederick could lighten up a bit after he has secured the win. He's been running it up for years... soon, when they only have 6 games on their schedule, he might realize and regret
tom 10 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 while i agree with not kicking a team when they are down, what do you do when you put 3rd string in and they run all over a team?? Are you supposed to tell your kids that have practiced just as hard to go in and lay down for these other guys?? maybe elsewhere but i dont see it in Blfd!! Its the other teams obligation to stop the O, if they cant, im sorry bout it! Ask Wyoming East!

MavsRock 21 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 In the last 10 years, on average, James Monroe and Mt. View have been the only 2 AA WV teams South of the Kanawha Valley that can compete with Bluefield on a consistent basis. Most teams aren't going to play someone that they have little chance of beating. Bluefield's going to have to travel if they want a full schedule, plain and simple. My fear is that James Monroe is going to have the same problem at some point. Bluefield used to play Greenbrier East and Woodrow Wilson from AAA, but that retarded MSAC confernce pretty much shot that in the face. swva_fan 91 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 Just like Bluefield, Mount View only played 6 games against WV opponents this year. For Bluefield, who else could play that would be competitive?
Guest BEAVERTAIL Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 im hoping for the recruiting maroon goons from up north at Whelling Central!
kevin 13 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 Bluefield and James Monroe should both look into playing Giles. It would be a quality opponent for both of them.
Guest BEAVERTAIL Report Share Posted November 4, 2007 Bluefield plays Shady next year for a fact. Whoever heard the info that shady dropped Bluefield was misinformed. They will play at Shady on the seventh play date. The refs have already been assigned.
MavsRock 21 Report Share Posted November 4, 2007 [ QUOTE ] Bluefield and James Monroe should both look into playing Giles. It would be a quality opponent for both of them. [/ QUOTE ] Very true, but I'm not sure it's going to happen, at least James Monroe-Giles. The view among the coaches is that since it would be the only game in which you to play against your own offense, you'd learn little, and all your going to do is put 2 good teams together and make 1 lose. As for Giles-Bluefield, that's a different story. If early in the year, it would give Bluefield a game to look at and get ready for James Monroe, and Giles would see a team similar to alot of the eastern coast teams they see in the playoffs.
