Sources 10 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 Losing to a unranked opponent at home with a berth in the national title game at stake, should WVU be stripped of their BCS bowl game appearance as well?
GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 Sure, why not? I mean if they are going to give Hawaii a BCS berth, WVU deserves one to. Maybe those two should play each other.
90bhsgrad 10 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 So using that logic USc should have not a BSC bid since they lost to Stanford as 41 pt favorites, as well as Vt since in their only real test of the season got destroyed by LSU by 41 points Right??? Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 Bingo. The original post is flawed, since Southern California lost to a Stanford team that is as bad as Pittsburgh. No one's clamoring to strip their BCS game. All the commotion here is because West Virginia blew their national title contention in the final weekend of the regular season, instead of mid-season like Stanford. GetMoney55 11 Report Share Posted December 2, 2007 WVU definitely deserves a BCS bid. they won their conference so why not? if WVU play Hawaii in their bowl game, it will be the highest scoring game ever. i'll say 77-70 WVU.
