JR31 10 Report Share Posted November 10, 2008 richlands might have the best starting five, they might not have the best indivual players but all together they have a great
Falconfan75 10 Report Share Posted November 10, 2008 Abingdon will also have a good starting 5 because they are the same kids that have been playing together for 4 years
nollama 10 Report Share Posted November 11, 2008 Richlands starting 5 will surprise some people this year. It looks like this district may be real tough. I wouldn't doubt if Tazewell makes some noise and finishes 1st or 2nd.

Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted November 14, 2008 Heard of the first 4 but who is james patton? size? grade? I believe he is a So. or Jr. Talked to my buddy the other day and he plays and he said Patton and Tatum may not start but will se significant time. For sure PG McGhee C Lawrence and Rife will play either the 3 or 4.Cant forget about Keene either. Birdy may start and maybe Boyd. But Patton is big. And they say he is making great strides in practice. Its looking like a good year in Richlands this year if the get the chemistry together. evophoto 10 Report Share Posted November 18, 2008 Holston is not in the SWD. I don't think Carroll's lineup will be determined until a few games in. I think James Lanning and Tyler Reavis will start but beyond that who knows? How about Holston???? they have been playing together since sixth grade! and they are all Juniors except for Eric Mefford which he is a Senior!! 8ball 10 Report Share Posted November 23, 2008 I think it is alway great when coaches have the dilemia of having too many players who could be a starter -- I think starting positions should be re evaluated based upon most recent performance in games and practices and who the opponent will be --- very rarely though we don't see that much depth in the smaller schools in SWVA. Pirate1 10 Report Share Posted November 23, 2008 Just out of curiosity, how many of Tazewells fb players play basketball. They had a lot of height on the football field, and I was just wondering if that translated into basketball at all?

Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted November 24, 2008 What about Mulkey??/ He ould be a starterc Mulkey is too small and is playing behind a bunch of Seniors this year. Not a starter IMO. Though he could see some time off the bench.
