GetMoney55 11 Report Share Posted January 9, 2009 I cannot see how Texas Tech or Georgia Tech are ranked ahead of the two teams that layed the lumber on them. Is there some kind of "Tech" bias taking place? I just don't get it.

wvuraiders 10 Author Report Share Posted January 9, 2009 loss after loss....politics play such a huge factor in these rankings...oh the dreams of a playoff loom in my head.
Guest BEAVERTAIL Report Share Posted January 9, 2009 loss after loss....politics play such a huge factor in these rankings...oh the dreams of a playoff loom in my head. Â Umm...7,8,9 all lost in front of OSU last week 11,13,14,16 all lost behind them... #12 TCU went ahead to #7, Oregon slid into #11 from #17. Â So im not seeing where there is politics. As for loss after loss, both Boise St. and TT are the only teams behind OSU with less losses than OSU. The both lost last week to lesser opponents than Texas, and OSU impressed many in that game. Â Maybe im missing something? Â As for playoffs, I told myself i wouldnt go there, but Im laughing now that as i typed the above, Mark May just said what Ive been saying all along, the BCS has made college football better than ever, and a playoff would change all of that. He also cited too many games.
Guest JJBrickface Report Share Posted January 9, 2009 How so??? You think they should have been higher??? Â Yes, I think they should at least be 13th. Ahead of Georgia and Ole Miss.
Guest BEAVERTAIL Report Share Posted January 9, 2009 Georgia, yes. Ole Miss, no. Â But in the end, what does it really matter?

thegamer 10 Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 If you aint first...you're last.u tell em ricky bobby! And i agree as well, i hate VT but i thought they would at least get right near top 10 after winning a BCS bowl finally
salemfootball 10 Report Share Posted January 13, 2009 one game does not make a season. georgis tech also beat georgia while lsu lost to them. the fact remains the distance between the last game and a bowl game is too long and the young teams, georgia tech for example was not prepared. GetMoney55 11 Report Share Posted January 14, 2009 More like LSU just destroyed them.
Hokies4Ever 23 Report Share Posted January 14, 2009 More like LSU had a month to prepare for the option game of GA Tech. If it had been one week in between games it might have went different. The fact is the layoff gave LSU time to be prepared for the GA Tech option attack.
Big Orange 1 10 Report Share Posted January 14, 2009 Huh? Ga Tech had a month extra to practice too. This was a home game for GT. Not to mention, LSU had a very young qb.
GetMoney55 11 Report Share Posted January 14, 2009 Yeah GT had just as much time to prepare as LSU did. Also, this was the first start for true freshman Jefferson at qb. Tech just got destroyed.
