tbgfan 856 Report Share Posted January 15, 2009 Three Beavers win twice Tuesday night BLUEFIELD — A trio of Bluefield wrestlers won both of their matches during a wrestling meet held Tuesday at Bluefield High School. Bluefield defeated Fort Chiswell 48-36 and lost to Nicholas County 51-18. Jake Lilly won both of his matches at 189 pounds, improving to 17-5 on the season. Mark Lilly (135, 13-11) and Brenten Brooks (215, 15-7) also won a pair of matches. Five Beavers split a pair, including Tyler Childers (119), LeAnn Childs (125), Derek Neal (152), Stephen Wessells (160) and Diquan Dye (285). Bluefield, which is now 8-12 in this season with a program, will travel Thursday to Tazewell to face the Bulldogs and Rural Retreat.
