Boo77 10 Report Share Posted January 27, 2009 Any news or updates on coaching changes for the upcoming 09/10 football season threw out the state of Virginia?
VHSLhelper 571 Report Share Posted February 6, 2009 Off the top of my head, I know that a bunch won't be back, but can't think of any that have been named yet. Do know that the Pikeville College coach left to be h.c. at Enka HS near Asheville.
Guest zeus71 Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 Was the coach that left pikeville Jerry Mynatt?
VHSLhelper 571 Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 No, Mac Bryan from Wilkes Co. Coached at App St. & Lees-McRae. Mynatt left a year ago to become an asst. at Brevard.
Guest zeus71 Report Share Posted February 13, 2009 Thanks man just wondering. Mynatt is a great guy, a good recruiter, and heck of a football coach.
jwcoop 14 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 I hear up there at GW that Pruitt is retiring and the top two candidates are James from FC and Hensley from RR. The principle is good friends with both and wants them in that order. And supposedly wants both together on the same staff.

It would be pretty crazy if it happened, Hensley took an already good RR program and made them better.. who knows what he could do with GW. I would personally rather him stay at RR, its the only way to keep them competitive depending on who would fill his shoes there.
Grundy10 10 Report Share Posted February 17, 2009 Mac Bryan would have been run out of Pikeville after the poor performance of his team this past season....
