VHSLhelper 571 Report Share Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Most of the wts were tweaked... basically, 103 was changed to 106 (thereby reducing further the opportunities for small Fr. to play a sport), 135 & 140 were combined into 138 and 189 was split into 182 & 195. Here's the new wt. classes we'll see in a few months ... 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220 and 285. Also, the OoB line in now inbounds and the Figure 4 headlock was banned. http://www.vhsl.org/files/wr-weight-class-change-nfhs.pdf Edited April 27, 2011 by VHSLhelper added link

Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted April 27, 2011 As someone who doesn't follow wrestling as much, I see these changes as a good thing. It was really befuddling to such arbitrary numbers (135 and 140) used for weight classes.
