Another example: Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. So if you are going to run welfare, you might as well do it like you should. Pay for the bare necessities and give no access to government money. You can get issued clothes and a given allotment of food, ect. If you want to be a ward of the state we need to start treating you like a ward of the state. Key word is "You cannot run State or Federal socialistic program without incredible waste. There are some social programs that are well run (Salvation Army) where 90% of monies donated are given out, is on the good list. Unlike United Way that runs somewhere around 50% is given back. Those are not socialistic programs. They are charities/foundations that people voluntarily donate to. Taxes arent voluntary. I love the salvation army.
