Guest The Variable Report Share Posted January 12, 2012 to be in occupy movement then it must be all american to lay off your fellow poor americans and hire cheaper labor overseas.! Just a thought! Then it also must be unamerican to make labor standards so lop-sided and inefficient that the only way to offer a product with a decent profit margin would be to lay off your fellow NOT-so-poor Americans and hire cheaper labor overseas. just a thought. By the way, your use of the word poor is incredilbly loose since very few Americans are exposed to the kind of poverty that exists outside of the US. Earning $42,000+ per year puts a person into the Top 1% of earners worldwide. Food for thought. That's why the "Occupy" movement is such BS. If anyone should be having an "Occupy" movement, it should be the Taiwanese girl that sewed my Nikes that I used to wear when I was back in high school. I'm a Clark's man now, but that's neither here nor there.

Looking at Johnston-Murphy right now, and I'm impressed with their stock. Do their shoes wear wide? I'm right now at about a 12 EEEEE. Of course, leather's going to conform somewhat, but are their standard shoes more narrow or wider than what's on the market today?

Of course, leather's going to conform somewhat, but are their standard shoes more narrow or wider than what's on the market today? Got 4 different pairs of Clark's and they are my go-to shoe. Love them. For a dressier, more formal shoe though, Johnston & Murphy is one you can't beat, but look at Allen Edmonds. Probably the best shoe you're going to get for your money. Both brands fit pretty true.
