VHSLhelper 571 Author Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 D doesn't have 12 teams, so I'm thinking an 8-man bracket, esp. since it's just 1 day. I didn't go, so I don't know the deal with Hibbitts. The paper says 4th, the radio said 5th. Lance 228 Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 Hibbitts lost both of his matches...first guy was like state runner up last year...big dude from Lee (Robbins)...he did pretty good against him, but guy was just too big. Hibbitts is just a 10th grader filling in. Second guy he wrestled was from John Battle, he did ok there as well considering...it was tied until the last 5 seconds and Hibbitts shot in to try to get points and the guy basically flopped around behind him as time ran out and got 2 points with no time left...match over. Lance 228 Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 in fact, on Hibbitts second match, this is how close it was...he gets this takedown he wins...gotta give the kid credit for trying...it was tied up to this point with about 4 seconds to go...he just couldn't get it...other kid fell over on top of him and the ref gave him 2 points...ended up 2-0. Normally, that time would be for the consi. semis, so Bill woulda just assumed that's what was happening. But since Adam had Robbins first, that means he didn't have a quarters match, so only 4 guys were in it. Went back and looked--- Lebanon didn't have a HWT for him Wed. night. (I really wish tourneys would use the gym's PA system to let ppl. know what's going on... I get asked "what are they doing now/next at the Agie all the time.)
