The West held a 2-0 lead and had held the East without a hit going into the bottom half of the 4th. Richlands' Reece Strong led the area players for the West with 2 hits and an RBI. Castlewood's Alex Couch had a hit and drew a walk. James Madison's Nate Favero was the MVP for the West with a 2 hit, 3 RBI performance. Box score per the Daily Press... EAST 13, WEST 6 West 100 104 000 — 6 10 1 East 000 241 33x — 13 11 1 WP: Perkins. LP: Mocabee. Standouts: West, Gum 2-3 (2 runs), Favero 2-3 (3 RBI), Howell 2-2. East, Porter 3-3 (2 runs, 5 RBI), Beard 2-3 (2 RBI), Seals 2-3 (2 runs). MVP: Favero (West), Porter (East). Beamerball 566 Author Report Share Posted July 13, 2012 East defeats the West, 6-0. Bath County's Jailyn Ford was the West MVP. Went five innings, gave 1 run on 2 hits, and struck out 7. Eastside's Lindsay Lawson was 1-4 with a single, Holston's Megan Honaker reached on an error, drew a walk, and had a stolen base. Holston's Morgan Lowe pitched 2 innings, surrendering 4 hits.
