Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted November 7, 2012 Ehh... close enough to a comparison to be a dumb statement that he shouldn't have made. But just like his other hyper/uber/overly-conservative brethren, he can't ever say he made a mistake, he always says that it was taken out of context, and he always says that the media is evil. Like most everything politicial, if you replaced "conservative" with "liberal", you'd be just as accurate. That's the problem: it goes both ways. And, anecdotally, I've seen far more on the right admit this than on the left. Look, there's plenty of room to be ideologically conservative, yet think that Jay-Z and the music he makes isn't a threat. There's plenty of room to be conservative, and admit once in a while that a dumb statement is dumb, instead of blaming everyone outside of the one who said it. True, it was a dumb statement. Could've made the analogy without using Hitler. But I think Jay-Z et al.'s music IS dangerous. Not in and of itself. But because there are more than enough stupid people who listen to it, think it's the best thing since sliced bread, and THEN try to project it on their everyday lives. As many people go to a Church of God, there are plenty of idiots who go to the Church of Gangsta Rap.
