bucfan64 307 Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 Lets get this straight. Obama proposed the Sequester, Obama signed it into law. Now Obama, wants to blame the sequester on the economy tanking! All of this over 2% of the federal budget being cut. This guy is the "great manipulator." I watched a speech yesterday where he basically used fear mongering to eventually blame the double dip recession on the sequester. I swear this guy might as well have said that the world will end, snakes will crawl into your beds, grandma will starve to death and our children will suffer from rickets if we have to make these God awful cuts. He has the power to determine where the cuts are made!!!!! This is a set up with the following scenario playing out. Economy falls into a double dip recession, Obama blames the 2% of sequester cuts on the recession and then says, "if it weren't for the sequester, my policies would have brought us out of this mess, but thanks to the evil demands of the GOP and the 2% cuts we are now going through this recession thingy again." Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 It's actually closer to 1%, because just half of the $88B is set for the current fiscal year. Sadly, all the data seems to suggest that people are not putting together (1) Obama's/Congressional policies and (2) the toilet bowl of an economy we now inhabit.
