Hacker 82 Report Share Posted March 20, 2013 With the tournaments underway lets talk about teams that underachieved this year. Tops of my list is Kentucky. The number one recruiting class never jelled into a team. Noel or not, it was just a bunch of guys playing. The intangibles of team chemistry and leadership plum evaded these guys. I expected more from VT after their start, and Huggie's boys in Morgantown looked plain lost most of the year.
Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted March 20, 2013 I would add UVA. Given that we are 22-11, and that we have 7 bad losses that ESPN keeps flashing all over the place, we should've been 29-4 in this rebuilding year, according to all the pundits. Because God knows a team with what will be SEVEN sophomores next season can never show any glimpse of inconsistency. I kid. But I'm still bitter. Seriously, NCST underachieved badly. Their seed is lower than their preseason rank.
Hacker 82 Author Report Share Posted March 20, 2013 I completely agree on NCST. The high expectations may have been too much for them.
BHS03 99 Report Share Posted March 21, 2013 This was the hardest WVU team to watch since the 8-20 season in Gale Catletts last season. At least my bracket isn't biased this year.
HurricaneWarning 212 Report Share Posted March 21, 2013 Tennessee missed out on the tournament after making a good run late in the season and then lost to Mercer in the first round of the NIT last night.
