It has always been understood that the unofficial, watchdog and understood fourth branch of government was the media. Is it reasonable to suggest that Social Media may very well be turning into or becoming the watchdog of the watchdog? ie, the fifth branch of government?

 

The media has become so subjective, that today a huge portion of the population no longer trusts them to tell the "truth."
