Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted October 13, 2014 You little conformists. Everyone except GMan followed Dear Leader and took the 7th Floor Crew this weekend against the Fighting Tubervilles. Well, the 7th Floor Crew "mudded" the Bearcats without remorse, posting double-digit points in each quarter. As such we all live on to fight one more week at the very least. As for GMan, he has James Quick to thank for being alive. Instead of continuing to run in a straight line downfield against a Clemson pursuer who had an awful tackling angle, he decided to juke himself into a tackle at the Clemson 8. A pass to de la Cruz put Louisville less than a yard from victory. But Petrino, in his infinite wisdom, decides that a long, slow-developing handoff is better than running 2 QB sneaks in a row with a capable offensive line. Clemson holds. Clemson wins. Louisville loses its remote chance at upsetting Florida State for the Atlantic crown. And we remain at 6 competitors. This week's slate: Thursday, October 16th Virginia Tech @ Pittsburgh - 7:30 PM Saturday, October 18th Syracuse @ Wake Forest - 12:00 PM Virginia @ Duke - 12:30 PM #24 Clemson @ Boston College - 3:30 PM NC State @ Louisville - 3:30 PM Georgia Tech @ North Carolina - 7:00 PM #5 Notre Dame @ #2 Florida State - 8:00 PM Each week gets more frustrating than the week before it. Virginia Tech's playing in a place that's been a house of horrors for it over the last several years. Syracuse and Wake Forest are the two worst teams in the Atlantic. Virginia, while better, has had untold problems with Duke since Cutcliffe arrived. Half of the tribe has already picked Clemson, and who knows how Boston College will do? Georgia Tech is who we thought they were, while UNC might not be. And FSU seems due, don't they?
