While the mood was light, the team is all business as it prepares for the 2015 season, Simon’s 30th as head coach at Bluefield and only the third head coach at the school in the past 56 years. Asked to describe the first week of practice, Simon had a one word answer. “Learning.†There are a pair of scrimmages scheduled before the annual Battle of the Bluefields.
