Bearcat Dad 439 Report Share Posted October 21, 2018 VHS is 4-4 with losses to 7-3 Tennessee High, 8-0 Chilhowie, 6-2 Abingdon, 7-1 Graham. Two of the losses were close games in the 4th quarter, two of them were close at the half. Injuries have hurt the Bearcats lately but they should get a huge piece back this week. The scrappy Hurricanes are doing what they need to do to get into the playoffs in a wide open Region D. In a game with playoff implications, who comes out on top? Plywood_King 518 Report Share Posted October 21, 2018 Probably the Cats, but I wouldn't count Marion out, especially with it being played in Marion. The teams are very comparable in a lot of ways with both teams entering at 4-4, and all their losses being in games that were competitive in the third quarter. The Bearcats have an extremely clear talent advantage, but Marion's very well coached and appear to be maturing as a team. I predict a low scoring affair that will be won either by VA High breaking a couple of big plays, or Marion grinding out the clock in the fourth. Considering where both these teams appeared to be headed early in the season, it's amazing that we're even looking at the possibility of this being a good game.
