wavematman45 10 Report Share Posted December 11, 2006 Grundy went down in Kentucky and only won 3 weight classes (Lee, Stiltner, and Hankins). Grundy placed 3rd in the tourny. The big news is that Demarco Owens has hung up his wrestling shoes. Is any more wrestlers thinking about quiting this year?
GrundyWinsAll 10 Report Share Posted December 12, 2006 Grundy did win 3 weights. They finished behind the top ranked KY team and the #3 team in indiana. 6 finalists 5 consolation finalists. Not a bad job in a tournament near cincinnati. As for quitters, wrestlers come and go. Wrestling is a tough sport. But it takes heart and it takes a desire to succeed. If you got it you got it and if not you quit. You have a growing group of "quitters" in Va . Anderson and Owens from Grundy, Aaron Wright abingdon, Junior Pearman Great bridge, Seth spence william byrd. All of these kids would make their teams much better. Instead you have 3 state placers and a 3X state champ that quits. I do not understand it.
