[/ QUOTE ] WOW!!! Can it get any worse for Tazewell's boy's team??? I almost feel sorry for them...at least they do have the SWD season to look forward to where they will be much more competitive than they've shown in their 60 point blowout losses to the Highlands teams... Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted December 14, 2006 Wow, Tazewell must be horrible. For a high school varsity boys' basketball team to only score in the 20s is very sad, and Tazewell has done it twice already this season...
dcecilgolf 11 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 If Tazewell had the same team from back in 8th grade, we would be competitive; but pretty much everybody who played back then doesn't play now.
KTom33 10 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 [ QUOTE ] If Tazewell had the same team from back in 8th grade, we would be competitive; but pretty much everybody who played back then doesn't play now. [/ QUOTE ] thats not exactly true... were missin at least 10 of our 8th grade team cause we only have 4 seniors, 3 of the middle school team starters dont play anymore... and im sayin this cause my 8th grade year we won every game but 1 to glenwood that we lost on a last second layup... we played 18 games to... so thats not true about the middle school thing, not to mention players like bobby west for us dominated and i mean dominated everyone, but once he got in high school we all caught up with him size wise and skill wise and he cant even really compete with the most of us anymore... which is why your majority of middle schoolers that played middle school dont play for the high school teams... cogar_42 10 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 I remember bobby, i was always matched up against him in middle school because i am the same height now as i was then, all you had to do was stop him one time and he wasnt too affective
KTom33 10 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 yeah but the only thing is, no one ever stopped him... we won all our games but the one against glenwood... i actually didnt go to that game i had surgey in my mouth that day, not that it mattered i had only played like 3mins a game back then lol... but i was just tryin to make the point that just cause someones good in middle school doesnt mean anything with high school
dcecilgolf 11 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 I remember Bobby, sweated like a damn whale. I mean after the first quarter it was like he just got out of the pool, a very stinky pool. I still think if Taz. had all the players who actually cared about bball in middle school then we would be very competitive.
cogar_42 10 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 yeah like u (even tho u sucked) but mainly squirrel and wills and garland before his leg broke would help us out
dcecilgolf 11 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 Yeah, even though a played just about the majority of time in every game. I could play shut down D, but offense, well I was there. haha Aaron was pretty awesome at driving the ball, Wills never missed from outside. We would have been good this year.
