ghs73 157 Report Share Posted December 30, 2003 when will the closure of poca take place and do you think the kids will go to graham or to tazewell and also do you see the county going to 2 high schools at anytime in the near future. i read something in the telegraph a while back i think and just curious about the prospects of this. An article in the Richlands News Press mentioned a recomendation to close Tazewell, Graham and Richlands High Schools in the next 10-15 years, and build two new ones. One would serve the east and one the west. I can see it happening. People have left the area in droves, and even the ones who have stayed just don't have as many kids as when these schools were built. ghs73 157 Author Report Share Posted January 14, 2004 ty for the reply i to feel that we could end up with two very strong teams in the county if and when that happens and the 2 schools would be big rivals i feel and i would hate to see the closings but feel that if things do not change in the near future we will see this sooner than we think.
