In-state recruiting???

WVU and Marshall both signed more players from VA than WV. WVU's only WV signee was Brandon Barrett, a 4-star player from Martinsburg. Marshall signed two WV kids...Doug Legursky from Beckley and Joe Bragg from Morgantown. WVU picked up two players from Virginia, massive OL John Bradshaw from Fredricksburg and extremely exciting QB Terry Mitchell from Virginia Beach. Marshall landed three signees from the Old Dominion...LB Jason Kaminski, LB Maurice Kitchens, and DE Floyd Wright. Marshall was also in the running for the VA AAA Offensive Player of the Year and the #2 rated player in the state Eddie Royal from Chantilly, VA. Royal, whose brother is currently on the Thundering Herd squad, signed with VT and will continue playing with his high school QB Sean Glennon, who also inked with VT during a joint press conference/LOI signing at Westfield HS. Virginia Tech signed a total of 12 kids from Virginia, including 4 of the top 10 players. UVA has signed 11 in-state kids, includes 4 of the top 10 players and the #1 rated player in Virginia, Olu Hall.
