Glenvar lost in the state Semi-finals to Altavista, which a day later won the state championship, crushing Radford, which Glenvar has beaten twice. Allyson Faschnat topped off a great career at glenvar. She Played varisty 4 years and made it to the state Tourney for every year. She won 1 state championship, 2 Runner ups, and 1 3rd place finish. She broke the Glenvar records for most points in a game, most career points, and also holds the NATIONAL record for the longest shot in a game ever. With 3 seconds left in the half allyson caught the ball 4 feet behind the opposing free throw line and threw it the length of the court and swished it at the halftime buzzer. The offical distance was 89.9 feet! Allyson you had a great career and we look forward to following you in your Div. 1 career! Thanks for all the wins and the great memories!
