lets talk about whats gonna happen in the TRD next year. I've heard a lot of talk about Glenvar, towards the end of the year last season they could hang with anybody and they only lost 4 seniors off that team. Excellent group of athletes. What does everything think about the TRD then about glenvar, i think they might have a chance to win their first Region title ever

Glenvar, very under rated, will make some noise this year, and a potential state contender in 2006

GLENVAR: 1. Radford- always tough TRD team 2. Floyd-Again TRD tough team 3. Giles-returns a lot, and we play at giles 4. Cave Spring-Tough AA team, lost RB and QB though but has good young class 5. Lord Botetourt-AA team, returns excellent soph. QB and has some big lineman 6. James River-Tough home game, play for the annual rocking chair 7. Auburn-decent, but required TRD game 8. Staunton River-lost willie fox and good WR 9. East Mont-new coach, lost josh smith RB 10. Covington-dont know a lot about them this year, lost some seniors

after the 1st day of events here are results: in the 800 lb club: 1st place is TE/LB Shawn Crawford, in the 1000 club QB Daniel Ayers is in the lead, in the 1200 lb club Senior john malus is in the lead with sophmore WR ross knoebel just 2 points behind, and in the 1400 lb club RB carter brown is tied for first with OL Trevor Crow: Tommrows events will be the tire flip, sandpit shuttle, and sandbag carry

Glenvar will be holding its 1st annual IRONMAN competiton this week, events consist of reps on bench and squat, staidum run, sandpit shuttle, 40 time, tire flip, john deere gator pull and the sandbag carry. I will keep posted results all week

I've heard of matt turner, but i have heard he is cocky and has a very bad attitude and a not real big work ethic, do you know anything about him?

Carter Brown, Soph. RB, will be one of the top backs in the TRD, has great work ethic and will have a great year, is currently squatting and deadlifting 500+, benches round 265

Theres an interesting post on VA Preps about how there should be a TRD/RRD series, there are 6 teams in each district and they can all play on the same night, however with some of the lower schools like east mont and auburn many people would rather see a TRD/HOGO series, which i think would be a great idea.

although your right all top 4 teams have a load of talent and it will be one of the best years in a while in the always tenacious TRD!!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE START THE COUNTDOWN TILL 2 A DAYS

Glenvar isnt young anymore, we have 38 returning varsity players from last year and only lost 4 seniors, and only 2 of them started, glenvar will make a run this year but in 2005 they will make the BIG RUN

Glenvar will be good this coming year and even better in 2005 look for a possible 1st region title in school history and maybe even a state ring in 2005

in 2005 most likely Glenvar will pick up parry mcluer and renew the old rivalry that they had before. Going back to the days when FRIDAY FOOTBALL EXTRA filmed the annual game and brodcasted this game live, the first game to be live by channel 6.
