lets talk about whats gonna happen in the TRD next year. I've heard a lot of talk about Glenvar, towards the end of the year last season they could hang with anybody and they only lost 4 seniors off that team. Excellent group of athletes. What does everything think about the TRD then about glenvar, i think they might have a chance to win their first Region title ever

Glenvar, very under rated, will make some noise this year, and a potential state contender in 2006

GLENVAR: 1. Radford- always tough TRD team 2. Floyd-Again TRD tough team 3. Giles-returns a lot, and we play at giles 4. Cave Spring-Tough AA team, lost RB and QB though but has good young class 5. Lord Botetourt-AA team, returns excellent soph. QB and has some big lineman 6. James River-Tough home game, play for the annual rocking chair 7. Auburn-decent, but required TRD game 8. Staunton River-lost willie fox and good WR 9. East Mont-new coach, lost josh smith RB 10. Covington-dont know a lot about them this year, lost some seniors

after the 1st day of events here are results: in the 800 lb club: 1st place is TE/LB Shawn Crawford, in the 1000 club QB Daniel Ayers is in the lead, in the 1200 lb club Senior john malus is in the lead with sophmore WR ross knoebel just 2 points behind, and in the 1400 lb club RB carter brown is tied for first with OL Trevor Crow: Tommrows events will be the tire flip, sandpit shuttle, and sandbag carry

Glenvar will be holding its 1st annual IRONMAN competiton this week, events consist of reps on bench and squat, staidum run, sandpit shuttle, 40 time, tire flip, john deere gator pull and the sandbag carry. I will keep posted results all week

I've heard of matt turner, but i have heard he is cocky and has a very bad attitude and a not real big work ethic, do you know anything about him?

Carter Brown, Soph. RB, will be one of the top backs in the TRD, has great work ethic and will have a great year, is currently squatting and deadlifting 500+, benches round 265

Theres an interesting post on VA Preps about how there should be a TRD/RRD series, there are 6 teams in each district and they can all play on the same night, however with some of the lower schools like east mont and auburn many people would rather see a TRD/HOGO series, which i think would be a great idea.

although your right all top 4 teams have a load of talent and it will be one of the best years in a while in the always tenacious TRD!!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE START THE COUNTDOWN TILL 2 A DAYS

Glenvar isnt young anymore, we have 38 returning varsity players from last year and only lost 4 seniors, and only 2 of them started, glenvar will make a run this year but in 2005 they will make the BIG RUN

Glenvar will be good this coming year and even better in 2005 look for a possible 1st region title in school history and maybe even a state ring in 2005

in 2005 most likely Glenvar will pick up parry mcluer and renew the old rivalry that they had before. Going back to the days when FRIDAY FOOTBALL EXTRA filmed the annual game and brodcasted this game live, the first game to be live by channel 6.

carter brown-glenvar, needs some work on catching but has great speed and a great running sense, hits the holes hard

your pretty snotty n cocky for a forum administrator, why do you think we're any diff from other losing teams, The denver nuggets were the worst team in the NBA last year and this year they are in game 6 of the playoffs, the dallas cowboys only won 1 game last year and thios year they won 8 and lost to 3 of the best teams in the nfl, 2 of which were in the NFC and AFC championships, so you can not say a losing team cannot change the next year, especially when they have 40 returning players

If you went to glenvar or saw the weight room and the players in it and the weight on the bar, you would not say to much else

Steve Magenbauer is the new head coach at salem. Word is that he will be taking goodpasture, fedison and maybe brian hooker, if not hooker he will bring jimmy fedison, the brother of coach fedison. but for sure fedison,mag and goodpasture are goin to salem. I JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT BILLY MILES IS NOT INTERESTED AND MOST LIKELY COACH MAGENBAUER WILL GET THE SALEM COACHING JOB. FRED WAGNER AND COACH SCHARNUS DID NOT APPLY AND ARENT INTERESTED. IT IS NOW MORE THAN LIKELY THAT COACH MAG WILL GET THE JOB. ALSO IF HE DOES GET THE JOB COACH LEE JOHNSON OF GLENVAR IS TRYING TO GET A BENEFIT GAME SETUP BETWEEN GLENVAR AND SALEM SOMEWHERE IN THE NEXT 2 YEARS

i definatly disagree, yall are not the rowdiest. Its between the SALEM SUPERFANS the HIGHLANDER HARRASSERS and cave spring and LB also are very rowdy. I know Glenvar and Salem have had many kids thrown out and banned this year so

I am posting about the student sections this year! the turnouts have been great, i attend glenvar and our crowds have doubled because of our student section and so many teams have been intimidated by our crowds, and we are a little single A school with huge turnouts! we have had problems though stupid people complain but parents and other fans love us! I guess its cause we piss the players and opposing fans off so much haha! the other sections i have seen are the SALEM SUPERFANS and THE GEORGE WTYHE SOLDIERS both sections are great! i think GW could be a little more rowdy and they are a little to nice but Salem is great and i love our section! I know there are a lot more sections so please reply with your names and maybe some of your chants or other ideas thanks!
