Bassett Division 3

With Fieldale Collinsville merging into Bassett High School the combined enrollment is over 1200 students. My question is, how can Bassett be a division 3 team? In my opinion the VHSL needs to quit letting all these schools dictate what division they want to play. They need to lay down some solid guidlines and enforce them. Some schools in our area have gone from 3A to 2A, back and forth numerous times. The VHSL needs to tell these schools that your enrollment is this,and so you will play in this 'A' grouping and in this division.

I don't think the VHSL has come out with the new football divisional alignments for this year. Of course it should have been done after the new ADM numbers came in. Bassett will move up into D4 since they are now in the top half of enrollment in Region IV. Or they should anyway.
