The high hopes Beckely had going into the season are a thing of the past it would appear. Princeton has to be feeling good about themselves after playing so well against Martinsburg and Beckley is reeling. I still think Beckley is the better team, but they have to show up and play like the better team to win.

What's the deal with the RB, Emeje? I didn't see his name mentioned in the paper today as one of the kids that would see carries tonight.

The line really seems to be the big weakness for this Beckley team. Spring Valley totally dominated the line of scrimmage and ran the ball down Beckley's throats for 339 yards.

The offensive line isn't winning the battle of the trenches and the backfield has nowhere to run either. Eneje and the rest of the backfield have been very ineffective this year because the line is not getting a push and the backs have nowhere to go. Eneje only got two carries tonight and only played on special teams last week.

The line also was responsible for a punt getting blocked last week by Jefferson which resulted in a TD and two blocked extra points.

Add to the line problems continuing turnovers and mental mistakes. Those three things are the main problems and it is happening every week.

You have to remember too that the four teams that Beckley has lost to have a combined record of 15-4 so this team hasn't lost to any cupcakes. Even Jefferson has a fairly good team and is now 4-1.

All of the players and coaches work really hard things just haven't clicked yet. Princeton is looking more ominous than their record suggests putting up a lot of points against both Martinsburg and Riverside. Maybe Beckley can go down there next week and get one in the win column against a southern rival. At this point, getting a win against Princeton and Greenbrier East would seem to be a good goal for this team.
