it is still 1 week away. but the truth is the dawgs are gonna have to be prepared. the tigers are fast! they can jump and they play dirty if they have to. the tigers know what they want and they want to win. it all comes down to if the dawgs come out ready. the tigers will come out cocky! if they play strong the hole game they can win!

I like how Tazewell and Richlands both don't mind playing good single A opponents. They don't care about their power point ranking, just as long as it makes their teams better. Richlands probably got as much points from losing to GC as they did beating Lee High and Abingdon. As I recall, didn't Honaker do all the whiping against Tazewell last season? Not to mention GC this year and last year. But thats the past and besides the point, it should be a good game this time around:

Honaker 21

Tazewell 17

the problem is not beating good A schools that go on to win a lot of games, the problem is losing to them.

Point in case:

So far Richlands has 10 points from losing to Gate City, but has 18 for beating Lee...had Richlands Beat GC they would have picked up 28 points so far. big swing.

As long as you beat the A teams and they pick up a lot of wins, then you are not punished in the points so much as if you lose...you are far safer playing AA schools that will win some games.

Just in comparison, Grundy has picked up 13 points so far from it's loss to Richlands.

Doesn't Graham have group A numbers??? Oh yeah, we beat them a couple of weeks ago. Right!!! By the way, tazewell is not the same team they were when they played Lebanon. They are starting several new players. It also didn't hurt lebanon that 2 phantom holding calls cost Tazewell 2 touchdowns and another cost them a run that went down inside the 5 yard line.. But that is history. Lets concentrate on Grungy this week. We will worry about honkers next week.

Tazewell's team sure is a far cry from what it was the past few years. Tazewell will be fighting for homefield in the playoffs and a loss to Grundy and Honaker both could knock them into the lower seeds. It will be interesting when Tazewell rolls into Ho-Town....
