MavsRock 21 Report Share Posted October 30, 2004 Simply put, this is the reason I wish it would have rained. Very quickly, I realized I might be watching a reverse of the game that we won 2 years ago. This was far and away the worst pass defense seen by the Mavericks since the 38-32 loss to Mount View and 2001. That was a game in which Josh Parrish threw for 5 TDs and nearly 300 yards. Like I said, last night wasn't the end of the world. If James Monroe stops the long passes, last night could've been a different game, and they may get a chance to redeem themselves in a few weeks. Offensively, I've seen worse, and I think Robertson was slightly hurt, I know he didn't play much after it went to 27-0. No use losing one of your best players in a lost cause. The Mavericks just need to prepare for whoever they play next, and to it one at a time. Last night is now a learning experience. As we all know however, it's very difficult to beat a team twice in the same year.
Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted October 30, 2004 At least it appears that you guys would get Weir at home in the second round. I'm certain that would be a Saturday game and I'd love to see it...
