Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted November 14, 2004 [ QUOTE ] Atlantic and Coastal Divisions Tech and UVa are in the Coastal Division [/ QUOTE ] As I said a couple of weeks back when this was first released I can see why both schools are in the "coastal" division. I mean both are so close to the coast, especially VT. I just love traveling to Blacksburg and stopping off at the beach on the way...lol
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted November 14, 2004 I hate BC being the crossover opponent. I was really hoping that would be Wake since it's so close.
TheAlpha 10 Author Report Share Posted November 14, 2004 Wake would have been so much better as a cross-over. They, IMHO, are even considered in the Appalachia circle.
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted November 14, 2004 They are the closer to VT than any other D-1 school. Shame they will only play each other twice every five years.
Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted November 14, 2004 Look at it this way, playing BC each year ensures Tech at least one conference win...lol
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted November 14, 2004 How do you see BC in the ACC? will recruituing be better or worse for them? They have recruited pretty well under O'Brien but now there closest opponent will be...what 500 miles? My guess is UCONN reaps the benifits of BC being in the ACC. Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted November 14, 2004 In the areas that BC currently recruits, joining the ACC will help them greatly I believe. It might also open up some new areas, but I don't see many kids from the south really going to school at BC when they can go to school at one of the southern powers. In the end, the move will hurt BC in the W/L column, but help them where it really counts, in the accounting books...

Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted November 18, 2004 Write this down and put it away for later reference, West Virginia will NEVER, EVER be admitted into the ACC.
