Wow!! I need to read these articles closer, didn't notice all the commas. I would guess Robbers might be a spell-check issue, but still should be caught. Very shoddy writing for sure.

After reading the article, there are three or four words missing, but certainly not enough to destroy the story. What is the "flat out" error. Just curious. I certainly have no idea, being new around here.

Thanks. I am told the staff there at the paper has been there for a long while. You would think they would know the teams pretty well by now. Oh well, looking forward to the football season.

Thanks for the few replies to my question about local media. I think I will keep the paper for a while, and see how it goes. It is disappointing that radio guys would be better writers than the actual reporters on staff. That's not a good sign.

New subscriber to this board, and new in the area. You don't have a very high opinion of the local sports coverage, especially from the local newspaper. What can they do to improve the coverage? I have been told they do a pretty good job considering they have such a small staff and limited resources. Maybe I should reconsider my subscription. What can you tell me.
