Treasure Coast has fumbled at the Vero 5 at the end of a long pass play, given up a QB scramble for 20 yards on a 3rd &19, and had a corner jump a hitch pass and drop the easiest chance for a pick six that the kid will ever have in his life. TC has the better team, but keep shooting themselves in the foot.
The game ended up a blowout, but we enjoyed the trip over to Okeechobee. It was a much nicer facility than I thought it would be, and they had a good band and decent crowd. Tomorrow night will be game #24 for us this year as Treasure Coast host Vero Beach for the Class 4S District 12 championship in Port St Lucie.
Watched Bayside at Jensen Beach last night. The weather was awesome at 76° with a nice breeze off the Atlantic. The pregame meal at Piehole Woodfired Pizza was excellent and the short drive down A1A to Jensen Beach even better.
The game? Jensen came in at 7-1 and Bayside 0-8 with Jensen looking ahead to next weeks Battle of Martin Co with arch rival Martin Co Tigers. Jensen played like they were looking ahead and came away with a stunningly boring 27-0 win. On a side note...
****LMAO**** @ the Bayside coach who punted twice when they were around the Jensen 40 with 4th and 5-7 yards to go. Dude, your team is 0-8. Loosen up and live a little.
Tradition coach(es) with one of the worst time management sequences I've seen in a while. They picked up a 1st and goal at the Coral Shores 3 with 30 seconds to go and 2 timeouts left. With the clock running, they finally snapped the ball with 15 seconds to go. A running play gained a yard, and they used a timeout with 9 seconds left. They then ran wide and the RB tried to turn it up, but was stopped at the 2, spun out of the tackle and reversed field before being brought down at the 1 with no time left. That's 2 plays in 30 seconds with two timeouts and you go to the locker room with 1 timeout in your pocket. 🫤
