Absolutely, I’m not discounting their talent. They wouldn’t be in Salem unless they were tough as nails. I just hope our boys play harder & smarter. I think our coaches will have them dialed in and focused. I trust our coaches to come up with a game plan to counter their best playmakers. 🤞

I agree CW has some speed but they don’t have Clements kind of speed. 🤞 Fingers crossed Graham pulls off the win! I think if they limit penalties & win the turnover battle, they will get the 💍! I really think they’re more battle tested & played a harder schedule but I could be wrong.

It’s kind of hard not to make the playoffs under the current system. You have to totally stink up the field not to get in…

Don’t know if you saw post by one the assistants on FB but apparently when Graham played EC Glass at Salem in that scrimmage back in August, Tony Palmer hid a dollar & told the assistant, he’d be back to get it in December and here we are! I hope they bring the heat & win the hardware!

I wondered if strength of teams played might be a factor. Granted Graham played some teams that were weak but they also played several that were not weak opponents. Graham has been battle tested & they’ve been on this stage before, CW hasn’t. Could be a factor???

CW has a kicker with some leg power from looking at some film. Graham will most likely get it on the 20 every time. He can boot it through the uprights from 40-50 yards. The thing about field goals is it takes at least two for every TD to keep game in check and three to overcome an opponent who can score TDs consistently. Their offense is pretty simple compared to Appomattox who does a lot of different stuff, nothing really fancy. It’s going to come down to the LOS and which team can hold the line on D and make some holes on O. In my opinion if Graham can spread out their line and/or get to the outside or throw in space, the GMen have a good chance to win. They have some decently fast kids but not the speedsters that Graham does. It’s their first appearance so they’ll come in hungry for a win but so will the GMen. Both lost to KW last year! It should be a helluva game. Go GMen!!!

Big, strong, & physical is what everyone is saying about Central Woodstock but not speedy. Power run team! Could be the best line Graham faced and vice versa. Can Graham get the hardware?

Some Appo folks calling Graham out on Virginia Preps, guess getting beat two years in a row is a hard pill to swallow. Folks gotta learn to be gracious in defeat and victory. Appo was going to get theirs today regardless of Graham’s defense. No reasonable person thought Graham would hold Appo to zero. The defense really dialed in 2nd half and had a lot of key stops. This is the best D line Graham has had since Tony Palmer took over in my opinion. I think they’re ever bit as good as advertised!

Graham has something they don’t have though, lots of speed! 🤞 They are big & strong though , that’s a fact!

I figured it would turn out this way 2nd time around with a healthy GW & at Pendleton Field.

What’s the new tune catchy chant about going to war with the GMen? I don’t know who came up with it this year but I love it! I don’t think the Raiders will get in their heads if that’s the intent. Yes & a great coffee shop beside them “The Grind” that left Bluefield has a shop right beside them and up the street Moondog Pizza is good.

I think the coaches have the boys pretty focused & prepared; confident not cocky. I believe they know they need to bring their A game & not take Appomattox lightly. Hoping for a great game & GMen victory!
